What is Flags for Heroes and How Can You Participate?
Flags for Heroes is a celebration of the people who inspire us with their courage and patriotism. We honor our heroes from military service, first responders, health professionals, teachers, and all others who support and serve us. Individual and corporate sponsorship supports the Kent Island Rotary Club installation of 250 flags on Route 50. Each flag is 3 feet x 5 feet displayed on a 10 foot flag pole. They will be displayed over Memorial Day from May 22-31. These beautiful flags will be a visual reminder to the many vacationers traveling over the Memorial Day holiday to remember the many who serve us. If you would like to sponsor a flag in honor of a special hero in your life or if you would like to recognize the many people who serve us, please visit Become a Sponsor.
Flags for Heroes is also a fund raising opportunity for Rotary of Kent Island to support our many community activities. While our members and other volunteers work hard to serve the community, your financial support goes a long way towards helping the disadvantaged and making it a better place for all of us.
